No, I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth! We had family up over Christmas so I wasn't home a lot that week. I was off last week as well, and I really enjoyed that - just relaxed, puttered around the house, got some things done I've been meaning to do - I was starting to get a feel for what retirement might be like and I liked it! Ah well ... I can dream, anyway.
I didn't focus on my weight or diet at all over the holidays, I'm afraid - I weighed in on 15th December at 118.6 kg (261.47 lb). Last Saturday, 5th January, I was 121.4 kg (267.64 lb) so that's a gain, but not as bad as I was expecting, truthfully. So what am I doing now?
Well, I had been having a weight-loss shake for breakfast, and frozen meals for lunch and dinner prior to the holidays. Right now I'm experimenting with having a shake for breakfast AND lunch with some fruit as needed if I get hungry, then a frozen meal for dinner and a snack after that. Yesterday that brought me in just under 1182 calories for the day. Today it should be right on 1056 calories (47% carbs, 33% protein, and 21% fat). I really didn't get hungry at all yesterday, so lets hope that continues for today. This is rather low in calories for my size, but I'm just hoping to jump start and get a nice drop to start the new year, so wish me luck. :)
