Down nearly 4 pounds this week! Hooray!!

I am thrilled with that, it's fantastic.  Of course I expected a drop this week, but nearly 4 pounds is pretty darned good.  I weighed in this morning at 117.7 kg (259.48 lb.) which is a loss of 1.8 kg (3.97 lb.).

I started this journey at the end of February weighing 286.6 pounds, and started Phentermine to lose about 35 pounds - when I came off that drug I regained a bit of that, so I restarted my new plan at the end of October.  So my 'total loss' figures are based on the start weight of 286.6 pounds at the end of February.  Phentermine or not, I did lose those pounds so I'm claiming them! LOL  That makes my total loss so far 11.3 kg (27.12 lb.).  Not bad at all!  The reason I mentioned all that is the tickers on this page - the top one shows my total loss since starting at 286.6 pounds, whereas the graph version just shows my progress since starting over in November at 270.1.  I didn't need to see the initial loss and regain on the graph, I'd just wanted to monitor my progress from starting the new plan.

Anyway, my stats for last week according to FitDay are:
  • 1567 calories
  • 57% carbs / 29% fat / 15% protein
Now that's an average for the week - basically during the week I'm between 1200-1300 calories on average, and on the weekends it may be as high as 1700 or more, so it averages out for the week at 1567 which is pretty good.  I think it's good to alternate like that - you don't want 1200 every day, you've got to confuse the body and mix it up a bit - a few higher calorie days help keep your metabolism stead, I've heard, so your body doesn't think it needs to kick into starvation mode and lower its metabolism.

I'll write more later - we're off to start some Christmas shopping!

I've changed my mind - I think I should see my progress from the start on both graphs - no point denying the regain after coming off Phentermine, and it will help me NOT want to see a regain on my graph again. Success isn't a straight line, after all ... I need to be realistic throughout this journey.
